Le Carbet · northern Martinique

Between Mount Pelée and the Caribbean Sea, the north is the wildest face of the island.

The volcanoes and forests of Mount Pelée and the northern pitons have been UNESCO-listed since September 2023.

Christopher Columbus landed here in 1502; Paul Gauguin painted here in 1887.

Protected by a controlled designation of origin, it is distilled in Le Carbet and Saint-Pierre.

The Caribbean coast

Grey-sand beaches, fishing boats and sunsets over the sea.

Once called the little Paris of the West Indies, the town was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902. It is a few minutes from the estate.

Tree ferns, mist and hummingbirds: the rainforest begins at the foot of the estate.
